Docklands, Melbourne

I finally took a long walk to the area of Melbourne called Docklands.  It is a redevelopment of the wharf area of the city.

Interesting pedestrian and bike bridge called the Webb Bridge.

There were several public art installations in Docklands Park.  This is called "blow hole"

Famous Australian icon.
Apparently this is how you maintain a green wall.  Looks like a lot of work.

Brighton Beach Walk

Took the city train out to Brighton this morning for a lovely walk along Port Phillip Bay.

Small privately owned beach cottages. They are basically places to store one's stuff while spending time at the beach.
Some of the paint is more creative than others.

Interesting interpretive sign shows 19th century painting of beach.

Seems dogs love the beach as much as people and they even have their own dog beaches.

You can barely see the Eureka tower from this location.

Albert Park

I know where I would want to live should I find I myself living in Melbourne - the charming neighborhood of Albert Park, preferably right across the street from St. Vincent Gardens.
