September 21 - Drive from Rome to Amalfi

A caravan of vintage FIATs on the Autostrada. They were hunkered down in the slow lane. Probably a good place to be as Italian drivers are a independent minded about the rules of the road.

We let the GPS guide us through an intensely urban portion of Naples to reach the back road over the mountain to Ravello and Amalfi. Poor Wayne! It was nerve racking.

A photo looking back at Naples. You can see Vesuvius on the right.

A well deserved lunch with a view in Ravello.

One of the many beautiful buildings in the lovely hilltop town of Ravello.

What more can I say...

After a scary drive up the main, mostly pedestrian, street into The heart of Amalfi we reach our hotel - Villa AnnaLara. A shot of the sun setting over Amalfi from the rooftop terrace.
